Lower School at Woodland is Senior Kindergarten through fourth grade. Our small classes allow for a supportive academic setting where confidence, independence, and responsibility are fostered and critical thinking, positive social interactions, and growth opportunities in each child are developed.
Students are nurtured spiritually and emotionally with weekly Chapel and ongoing character lessons including time with School Counselor Amy Barker. Students participate in weekly special classes: Art, Bible, S.T.E.A.M., Music, P. E., Library, and Spanish. Cross-curricular activities are a part of special subjects where collaborative projects promote collaboration among students.
Performing Arts in Lower School
As part of the performing arts program, Lower School students experience memorable plays where creativity and expression come to life. Each grade in Lower School performs a play or musical which fosters individual creativity, group collaboration, and the discovery of unique talents in every student.
